About this role:
The Tech Operations and Support, Senior Specialist is a critical role providing advanced technical support to our global employee base. You will be the expert resolver for complex issues involving personal computers, operating systems, mobile devices, network connectivity, and enterprise applications. By ensuring the smooth operation of these systems, you directly maintain productivity and enable our teams to focus on delivering life-changing therapies.
How You Will Contribute: Advanced Troubleshooting & Strategic Support
You will apply your deep technical expertise to solve complex problems, support strategic initiatives, and serve as a resource for colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Hardware & Software Support: Acquire, install, upgrade, and troubleshoot PC components, software, and peripheral devices.
- Complex Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues through user consultation and coordination with internal/external support teams.
- Enterprise System Support: Provide real-time ERP systems support and facilitate end-user training for knowledge transfer.
- Executive & Strategic Support: Utilize specialized skills to tackle complex tasks and provide white-glove support to senior-level executives.
- Network & Communications: Respond to user requests and research problems associated with telecommunications and Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Systems Administration: Apply Active Directory knowledge to manage user access and support system organization.
- Independent Operation & Mentorship: Work independently within established procedures while serving as a key resource for less experienced colleagues.
Who You Are: The Technical Expert
You are a seasoned support professional who enjoys solving the toughest technical puzzles and takes pride in enabling others.
Required Technical Expertise & Certifications:
- CompTIA A+ Certification and proven ability to apply troubleshooting skills in complex, dynamic environments.
- Certified Microsoft Professional with an advanced understanding of software applications.
- Hands-on proficiency in diagnosing and supporting:
- Operating Systems: Windows 10 and Mac OS environments.
- Mobile Platforms: Apple iOS and Android systems for support and configuration.
- Productivity Suite: Microsoft Office 365 tools and administration.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Local Area Network (LAN) principles for troubleshooting.
- Experience using established IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for issue tracking and resolution.
Professional Experience:
- A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- 3-5+ years of relevant working experience in a senior desktop support, IT operations, or technical support role, preferably in a large, corporate environment.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage impactful tasks with minimal supervision, and mentor others.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
